C5 is an intricate lyricist from Oakland, CA who uses his craft to speak about his experiences that led him to where he is today. As a young creative, growing up in the Bay Area was a tough battle he fought every day. Being surrounded by the wrong people led C5 to make wrong decisions and almost destroyed his future. However, after being accepted into CSU Dominguez Hills in the Los Angeles area, his life immediately took a turn in the right direction and he began his journey in search for a positive environment filled with blessings and inspiration.
C5 began rapping in the eighth grade and has been at it since. The name “C5” stands for Chris Five, C being an abbreviation of his first name and the 5 stands for the block he’s from (59th street).
The young creative has opened up for artists such as: Chance The Rapper, Snoop Dogg, Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, Usher, Bryson Tiller, E-40, Jaden Smith, performed with Royce Da 5’9 and more. C5’s single “Straight Up” placed #11 on Spotify viral 50 chart and #19 on Billboard Viral 50 chart. C5 has had music played on reputable radio stations in California, Georgia, Texas, South Carolina and Florida.
