Chris Scholar

“A sensual synth intro cut with fluttering percussion and tied together with the honey falsetto vocals of Scholar. And the inspiration for the striking lyrics come from a deeply personal place for the emerging musician.” – Wonderland

Chris Scholar is a Los Angeles based creative from Richmond, VA. As a writer, rapper, dancer and director, Chris has written on 2 Chainz “Rule The World” featuring Ariana Grande and Chris Brown’s “Sorry Enough”, as well as directed videos for Trippie Redd, Wiz Khalifa, Tank, Lil Xan, French Montana and more.

Having dropped out of college to pursue music full-time, after Jermaine Dupri highlighted one of his videos on his blog. Working behind the lens to monetize his music, Chris established a solid fan base after releasing “Move To LA” & “Abstract”.

The track boasts a sensual midtempo vibe with Chris’ vocal switching between falsetto choruses and clean spoken verses. The contemporary R&B track is an easy listen, cooly composed and highly commercial, with vibrant percussion and hats that cut through the pads.
