MIRAMIS is the new project from Swedish singer-songwriter and producer Emil Berg. A Swedish small-town songwriter, artist and producer, Emil started his first band The Majority Says at the age of 14 – ten years later, after touring in countries such as Germany, Austria and France, Emil first launched his solo career in 2015. The project resulted in more than 30 million streams and a Swedish Billboard #1 with summer hit single ‘Du Swipa Höger’.
Now releasing music in 2018, having spent countless hours in the studio – Emil has finally unveiled the project for this year and debut, ‘Suppressing me’ feels like the perfect introduction to this.
Shrouded with electronic beats and airy vocals, ‘Suppressing me’ meets nature and organic elements. Displaying a mixture of cinematic, minimalistic and folk sounds, combined with strong pop melodies, MIRAMIS songwriting and production talents shines at the forefront. The lyrics are essential, told from a personal point of view and often based on a feeling of twilight, where dreams meet reality.
