Zanski is the all-encompassing alias of the Toronto vocalist and producer, Tom Probizanski. An artist who quickly made waves upon entering the music scene in early 2017 with the release of his Collapse EP, Zanski weaves electronically laced R&B with the infectious sounds of guitar and his striking falsettos.
After the successful release of his Collapse EP, Zanski released his debut LP in fall of 2017. Titled, Movies at the End of Youth, Zanski showcased a variation in sound from his slow funky groove of “What Have You Done” to his ethereal guitar-work of “Run.”
Attesting to his talent both as a producer and vocalist, Zanski has already racked up 50,000 monthly Spotify listeners, 3 million Spotify plays and 4 million SoundCloud plays. His music has been featured on popular Spotify playlists such as New Music Friday Canada, Fresh Finds, Indie Pop Chillout, Viral Hits Canada and R&B Right Now. Zanski’s music has also been featured on IndieCurrent, Indie Shuffle, and Kitsune, among others. His previous work has received several sync placements and could be heard in H&M, Zara, Hardrock Café, Marriot, and more.
Zanski now sets himself up for further success and even greater accolades in 2018 with his upcoming EP, Derivative Emotion, set to be released on 23rdMarch. Derivative Emotion promises a rawer sound than his previous works whilst still highlighting Zanski’s versatility to tastefully transition from funky to chill in a mere five tracks.
