Lauren Torres

American singer and songwriter, Lauren Torres was born to John and Laurie Torres, in San Diego, California on November 3, 1994, Laurie’s 30th birthday. Encouraged by her parents to explore her musical pursuits, she began crafting her stealthily soulful vocals. Inspired by legends like Stevie Wonder and Etta James, and intrigued by new opportunities for musicians in the digital age, Torres began her music career in 2016 with her independent, sultry single and accompanying music video release, “Lullaby.” Torres received moderate success with her 2017 debut mixtape, “From Here on Out,” garnering 100,000+ streams as well as radio play in Australia.Upon graduating with her Bachelors in Music Business in late 2017, Torres signed a one-year contract with independent record label, Red Label Records. In 2018, she released “When All Else Fails,” a mixtape, produced primarily of hip hop beats, with Reggae/R&B influences. She also collaborated on tracks featuring Gucci Mane, and embarked on east and west coast tours of the US.In 2019, motivated to get back to her R&B roots and to push herself artistically, Torres released one single a month, for a total of 12 songs. On February 14, 2020, the artist released her third mixtape, “Monotone,” quickly followed by a 4-track EP, “LOLO.” Both projects were accompanied by one self-funded music video, including “Make Me,” which garnered more than 100,000 views on YouTube. Today, Lauren is drip-releasing her 14-track R&B album, titled “Trash,” which, stylistically-speaking brings the listener back to Lauren’s first release, “From Here On Out.”
