SuRie is best known for representing the UK with her emotive and uplifting single Storm at the 63rd Eurovision Song Contest in 2018 which has nearly 4million Spotify streams.
Her journey started in 2015, where she was a backing dancer and vocalist for Loïc Nottet who was representing Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest, coming 4th with Rhythm Inside. She once again returned with the Belgians in 2017, with Blanche performing City Lights and again placing 4th.
A classically trained musician and graduate from The Royal Academy of Music, SuRie was recently elected an Associate of The Royal Academy of Music, an honour awarded to former students for their significant contribution to the music profession.
SuRie recently launched her LP Dozen to a sell-out audience at the Bishopsgate Institute in London, a concept album featuring a collection of 12 completely revamped cover songs, one for each month of the year, and containing the name of that month in the original title. Featuring songs by Nina Simone, Stevie Wonder, Florence and The Machine all rearranged for SuRie’s voice, whilst playing the piano and accompanied by a full string orchestra.
