Liberty Music’s 2019: Events
This year has been a whirlwind, we’ve had some great opportunities and appearances throughout the music industry and festival season. If you didn’t catch us in action, here are the top three events we got involved in 2019.
The Great Escape
At Brighton’s landmark music event and conference, we hosted our very own stage on The Alternative Escape leg of TGE. We curated an array of artists to perform throughout the day, featuring Belgian Hip-Hop artist TheColorGrey, Brighton’s own Yakul, London’s Georgia Lowe and an array of other great talents.
BBC Introducing Live
A staple event in new music, BBC Introducing Live is hosted yearly at Tobacco Dock. The day showcases new talent and hosts panels and workshops from the top music biz leaders. Our very own Founder, Bee Adamic, spoke on the ‘No PR, No Problem!’ Panel, and the room was packed! Joined by Hannah Louise (Polydor, Influencer), Ant Giannacci (MBC PR) and Lulu Davis (Incendia Music).
TEDxBrighton
Towards the end of the year, we were honored to curate the live music for TedxBrighton at Brighton Dome in October. TEDx is a globally known non-profit organization, showcasing conference events supporting that support the growth of new ideas and initiatives. The day program included talks from the likes of Cephas Williams (56 Black Men), Junior Smart (Founder of the SOS Project) and more. We organized an eclectic lineup, featuring Bobbie Johnson, Yakul, David Ellis and ADAL; a mixture of retro-future, hip-hop, and acoustic melodies.
We have some great events in the works for 2020, including lots of industry appearances and even our own event.
